So true, I have been in the Canadian Merchant Account Industry for some time now and see merchant’s make that common mistake all the time and then get frustrated due to not knowing it is better to work backwards for e-commerce merchant accounts. #1. Merchant Account, # 2. Gateway, # 3. Shopping Cart.
Another newbie mistake I see all the time is online merchant not realizing that merchant account provider look for a solid privacy policy, terms of use, and refund policy to be clearly listed on all the pages of their websites to help get approval.
